Role Summary
The Architectural Draftsperson (Revit) is a senior technical role responsible for producing accurate, coordinated, compliant architectural documentation for large-scale multiresidential and high-rise projects. This position demands 8+ years’ experience using Autodesk Revit in complex, multi-discipline environments and deep working knowledge of residential building documentation standards, construction methods, and applicable codes. The role supports design leadership, engineers, and consultants to translate concepts into construction-ready deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation & Revit Coordination
- Lead production of Revit models and documentation for multiresidential / high-rise projects (DA/CD/Construction).
- Create, refine, manage and QA Revit families, templates, views, sheets, and annotation standards to meet project and compliance requirements.
- Integrate architectural Revit models with structural and MEP disciplines; resolve clashes and maintain coordination records.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure documentation complies with NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, local planning requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct technical reviews, detail checks, and constructability assessments before issuance.
Project Team Integration
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and maintain design intent across documentation sets.
- Present drawing packages to design leads for approval and issue control.
Documentation Control
- Manage revisions, RFIs, addenda, and version control throughout design phases up to handover.
- Maintain clear records of decisions, design changes, and compliance outcomes.
